It is difficult. I understand. We all face trials, we all face things that break us either in part or in full. It is a human thing, to face extraordinary challenges, for our pursuits, by nature of their higher purpose, also bring with them higher risk and greater potential for reward or calamity. It’s an economy of scale. But that should not deter any of us.
With the adversity you are facing now, do not despair any more than is reasonable. What matters most, and what will always matter most, is not what happens, but what we do about what happens: how we react, how we think, how we feel, and ultimately whether we move forward despite it all. Tenacity, perseverance, determination–make these your own, and they will make you rich in far more than just wealth.
I will keep it simple for today. The bottom line is this: don’t let what is outside of your change what is inside of you. That is to say, do not let this adversity poison who you are. Do not let it win. Do not let such a puny, irrelevant happening–for all are small in the grand scheme–alter your potential as a wonderful, unlimited human being.
You are far greater than all of your challenges.
You are far stronger than all of your hardships.
You are in control.
Now choose to keep moving.
Forward . . .
